Students are formally graded each quarter (K-1st uses symbols rather than grades). The first quarter is completed with a formal conference with the parent, at which time the report card is given during the conference. Second and fourth quarters, the report card is sent home with the child. Third quarter report cards will also be sent home with the child unless a special parent/teacher conference has been scheduled. If so, the parent will pick up the 3rd quarter report card at that time. Midterm Progress Reports are issued approximately midway in the 1st and 2nd quarters of the school year. Consult the school calendar for the exact dates on which they will be sent home. Teachers and parents work together to help the student to improve his/her progress. Third and Fourth Quarter Progress Reports generally go only to parents of students who have demonstrated academic and/or behavioral deficiencies, or by individual parent request. |
